Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME)

If you are travelling by the air there is a fear in your mind that you have arrived safely at your destination or not. But we are thankful to the AircraftMaintenance Engineering for working hard and make our journey happy and safe.

An aircraft maintenance engineers are trained to inspect an aircraft, diagnose problem, report the problem found and finally solve them. In other we can also say that AME is responsible for safety, security and maintenance of an aircraft. Every kind of aircraft need maintenance and also want to safe and secure for that the aircraft is in working condition or not. Before an aircraft take off a regular maintenance is done by the AME and they also authorized the flight releasing certificate. Without the sign of an Aircraft Engineer on flight releasing certificate no flight can take off through the ground.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering  is a three year training programme. To complete this training programme Aircraft Engineering institute are available which is approved by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) Gov. of India. Candidates who successfully complete this programme, DGCA issued Aircraft Engineering license. This license is valid internationally. Through this license AME can do job in Indian as well as foreign airlines.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Common Entrance Test (AME CET), it is a national level common entrance test to appear in DGCA approved  institute. Through this test a candidate will get admission in  institute which is approved by Directorate General of Civil Aviation(DGCA) Gov. of India.
